The story of an encounter<\/p>\r\n \r\n

The Black Hand was born from a Franco-Australian friendship.<\/h2> \r\n

With the aim of establishing alternative specialty lattes in Paris, on par with specialty coffees.<\/p>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div> \r\n

\r\n La Main Noire began with a meeting in Melbourne (in 2014), where the coffee shop culture is fully experienced: good coffee, drinks that have taste and that attention to detail that changes everything.
\r\nThree friends meet there, travel, learn, then find themselves in Paris with a clear idea: to create a coffee shop inspired by this Australian spirit, Parisian version, with real artisanal gestures and a desire to build hand in hand.

\r\nLa Main Noire is also a tribute to all the hands that participate in the creation of a drink, from latte to specialty coffee: producers, roasters, artisans, baristas.
\r\nEach cup tells the story of a collective effort, from sourcing the ingredients to serving them in the coffee shop. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

Even before the coffee shop opened, the first recipes were developed. Sticky Chai was launched in early 2017, followed by Paste, concentrated latte bases made in Paris.
\r\nTextured, intense, and complex, they were designed to elevate alternative lattes to the exacting standards of specialty coffee shops. All this without using syrups or powders that are often overly processed and sweet.
\r\n
\r\nIn 2023, the little sister arrives: La Fabrique \u00e0 Latte, a powder version inspired by Paste, always with the same requirement on the quality of ingredients, Organic and 100% natural, and on artisanal manufacturing.
\r\nSince 2025, all La Fabrique \u00e0 Latte products are also available for individuals, to bring the coffee shop experience home, without any hassle.<\/p>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n \r\n

\r\n Located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, the La Main Noire lab is our HQ. It's where everything comes to life: recipes imagined, tested and produced in small batches, 100% handmade.
\r\n
\r\nIt all begins with the meticulous sourcing of spices, teas, and raw ingredients chosen for their freshness and intensity. In the lab, they are cut, cooked, roasted, and then preserved in natural sugar to retain maximum flavor. Each batch is prepared, jarred, and inspected on-site.
\r\n
\r\nThis is also where we produce La Fabrique \u00e0 Latte, our powdered range inspired by pasta. Same high standards, same obsession with taste, in an even simpler format to use.

\r\n Our coffee shop and restaurant was designed as a raw yet refined space, with a distinctly industrial elegance. It spans two levels, each with its own unique atmosphere.
\r\n
\r\nOn the ground floor, you can sit facing the bar or near the open facade, overlooking a street with typical Parisian architecture. In the basement, the atmosphere is more intimate. The space, in an industrial dining room style, opens onto the kitchen.
\r\n
\r\nDuring the week, the menu is light and creative, featuring fresh, well-prepared ingredients. On weekends, the team offers a more elaborate signature brunch \u00e0 la carte, with a vegan option, an animal protein option, and a choice of sweet or savory dishes.
\r\n
\r\nOn the coffee side, we change roasters every two months, we carefully select a specialty coffee roaster from France or our neighboring countries, and we cup (coffee tasting technique) each coffee before offering them on our menu.
\r\n
\r\nFinally, you will find all of La Main Noire's creations there, in the form of hot or iced lattes, but also in seasonal signature drinks! <\/p>\r\n\r\n
